Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mrs. Muriel Elizabeth [nee Swan] Pitt.

A Homegoing service for Mrs. Muriel Elizabeth [nee Swan] Pitt, beloved wife of the late Warren “Bussie” Pitt in her 99th year of #14 Watlington Lane, Devonshire DV06, mother of the late Leonard Swan Sr., Lenamay Simmons, Warren Jr. [Emily], St. Clair, Margaret, Dawn and Dean Pitt [Bonita], stepdaughters Patricia Clark of Georgia and the late Vernette Condo, sister to Winifred “Winnie” Bean [Late Fred] of New Jersey, Benson [Jan] Swan, will be held at Christ Anglican Church Devonshire on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be at Christ Church Anglican Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Augustus Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

Lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Leonard “Dinks” Swan Jr. [his mother Delores Amaral], Latasha Peets [Eric], Tomika Swan, Denise Wilson, Georgio, Shaquila, Maki, Shaunte, Dene and Demi Pitt; great grandchildren: Luke, Joshua, Elijah,  Isiah, Tyonasha, Brittonasha and Brittonie Swan, Ethan and Emeer Peets, Essex and Xyla Pitt and Sa’Yuri Pitt Wade; sister-in-law: Ruby [Late Clayton] Swan; step grandchildren and the greats, nieces, nephews, godchildren Suzanne Smith, David Swan, Andrea Woolridge Singh, Eddie Swan Jonita Simmons and her children Raja’e, Taja’e, Ta’-Jari Paul and T’Rahj Simmons, The Christ Church family, St. Matthias Guild Members and many other family members and friends too numerous to mention.

Muriel was predeceased by siblings: Sinclair, Dudley [Elizabeth], Alec [Florence], Erskine [Adelle], Phyllis, Nurse Helen Swan, Vivian Steede and Clara [Walter] Harris, William “Leroy” [Pansy], Swan, Clayton Swan; sisters-in-law: Fay [Carlton] Paul, Alice “Sister” [Voorhees] Place, Elsie [Vernon Hart].

Covid-19 precautions are to be observed, we are required to have a maximum limit of 20 persons in the viewing chapel at any given time. Mask and hand sanitation will be required, social distancing observed.
