Father of Patreese Simmons [Kevin], Kim Bean [Randy] and the late Neville E Jones [late Henrietta Jones nee Hollinsid, the mother of children]. Grandfather of Randy Bean [Laura], Kevin Simmons [Mikhaila], Ashley and Chrisanté Bean and Kayla Simmons. Survived by sister, Shirley Outerbridge. Predeceased by brothers Peniston and Vincent “Bill” Jones, and sisters Marilyn Simmons and Joy Jones. Remembered by nieces and nephews, Joycelyn Deal, Stanford Jones, Gladwin Bean, Kathy Albuoy, Joseph Simmons, Ivan Outerbridge.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah, Somers, Oliver, Owen and Lily and numerous other relatives and friends in her 83rdyear of #7 Tribe Road No 1, Paget, DV04.

A memorial service in remembrance and celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 2pm on June 18th at Chapel of Ease Church in St David’s, followed by a gathering for friends and family. Condolences may be sent to the family at genius@fkbnet.bm

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations in Susan’s name to be made to PALS.

The family of the Mrs. Grace Adele Priscilla Aubrey, née Johnston, regretfully advise of the peaceful passing of her soul to the realms above on the morning of Sunday, April 10, 2022, in her 96th year. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in London, England at Putney Vale Chapel. A memorial will be held in Bermuda at a later date.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children and their spouses Shirley Tucker Sampson, Michael and Rosalie Aubrey, Daurene Aubrey, daughter-in-law Fayerene Meeks, and Beverley and Craig Morfitt.

Grandchildren: Sean, Troy, Tracy, Shannon [Kelly], DeAndrey, Whitney, Zahra, Roderick Duane, Nicole, and Michelle.

Great-grandchildren: Jahmiko, Kiseantae, Sanjay, Queshawn, Omori, Zion, Talae, Shane and Shaki; Thaleyah, Troy and Tyler; Kashay, Shadauntae, Tashir, Jashir, Naycher; Ethan and Caden; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Sisters-in-law: Brenda, Valerie [June], Doris and Vera.

Nieces and nephews: Deborah [Russell], Maurice Jr, Donna [late Alan], Christopher; Sherry, Tanya, Lisa, Angela and Maria; Guy; Laverne, Sandra, Kent, and Kevin; Keith, Kevin and Michelle; Kim; Joanna and Derrick; many great-,and great-great nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by beloved family members: her husband John Edward, son Duane Roderick, grandson Troy, great-granddaughter Troylisha, niece Dawn, nephew Kirk, great-niece Ruth; all of her eight brothers and one sister, of whom she was the second eldest: Lloyd, LeDrew [Lee], Llewellyn [Dossy], Earl, Clayton, Ernest, Robert [Jim], Edward, and Sylvia; brother-in-law Maurice, sister-in-law Nell, and by her parents, Gladys Isabel and Derrick Ernest Johnston.

Grace Adele Priscilla Aubrey, the Johnston family matriarch, is lovingly remembered by all of her numerous relatives and friends, including the Webb family, her former colleagues at the Castle Harbour Hotel, Piggly Wiggly, Ministry of Works & Engineering, and Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.
