Beloved son of the late Eldon Hayward and the late Elsie B. Hayward of Jamaica, Queens N.Y. formaly of Bermuda in his 85th year. Gene also leaves to cherish his memory is step-daughter Dorene Murray Bolt [Henry] step-son the late David Murray. Also surviving are brothers Hilton, Vorhees and Leonard Hayward, sisters Phyllis Blyden, Lois Jones, Dorothy Williams [Webster], Violet Hayward, Carolyn Hollis, Martha Bean, Pearline Place. Brother-in-law Dennis Hollis, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Gene was predeceased by brothers: Andrew Leroy and Cecil Hayward. Internment took place at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery- Farmingdale, New York on January 9th, 2017.
