It is with great sadness that we the family regret to announce the death of Copeland David Eugene Smith I, in his 83rd year formerly of St. George’s Bermuda, who passed peacefully on July 15, 2021, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Predeceased by his father, Ivan “Shiek” Smith and mother Hilda Smith nee Weller. He was the loving husband to Rosalee Casanova Smith, devoted father to Copland Smith 11 [Valarie,] Sherrie Lynn Lilley of New York, Maxine Smith and Quinell Smith [Jennifer] of Canada and adopted daughter Fayshan Smith of Florida. Also surviving are his brother Ivan Smith, fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren that he adored and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. A memorial service in Bermuda is being planned and will be announced in the coming months.
